Hi all,

I just found out that my application was unfortunately denied for Fall 2019 because I didn't take the Critical Thinking test. I took the TEAS at a different testing center and all programs I've seen only required to take the TEAS, so I wasn't aware that there was a second pre-admission test. So, my application is being moved to Winter. Anyways, I was just wondering, how long does it usually take to get an acceptance/rejection letter from the school after submitting an application?

There is one interviewer. I was asked what I thought a nurses job was. I was asked why I thought I was good for LLU and why I was drawn to it. To name a time when I displayed some value that LLU expects. I was asked about conflicts between workers and how I would manage them. I was told a bunch of stuff that I already knew about LLU and asked if I was OK with it. I am drawing a blank now, but it was very similar to a job interview. I interviewed with the alumni director.

Hi everyone! I got interviewed on Tuesday and I was told that the committee is meeting around September 4th and acceptances will be sent out mid-September. I was wondering why you guys chose LLU and what convinced you to apply.

Mid September? Wow. I chose LLU because (not only is it nearby) but they are advanced and have learning tools that most other hospitals do not. You have 1:1 meetings with instructors about simulations that you perform, are a trauma 1 hospital, are a teaching hospital, and I want to be with a group of professional minded individuals...and not those who want to party or take their studies for granted. I figured a school with strict regulations concerning the "high" life was a good place to start.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I want to go to college to learn, not to have fun. I was considering CSU’s for a while because of cheaper tuition but LLU seems to be worth it. And I know, the wait seems unbearable!

Does anyone know how many applicants LLUSN received for Winter 2020?

Not specifically for this semester, but a first year nurse there told me that they get about a thousand applicants, half of which meet all qualifications and 50 get picked. I do not know for sure, but have no reason not to trust what he said.

I highly doubt Loma Linda gets 1000 applications, i heard its like 200 at the veryyyy max

Honestly, that makes more sense, but that is what he claimed his instructor told them.

Yeah, theres no 1000 applications to this school, realistically a 100-120 applications per quarter and half are accepted the other half are not qualified so that small amount who dont get in, will probably get in the next quarter.

I also applied for the winter 2020 quarter. Has anyone received an acceptance or know when they will be sent out?
