Loma Linda BSN Winter 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all,

I just found out that my application was unfortunately denied for Fall 2019 because I didn't take the Critical Thinking test. I took the TEAS at a different testing center and all programs I've seen only required to take the TEAS, so I wasn't aware that there was a second pre-admission test. So, my application is being moved to Winter. Anyways, I was just wondering, how long does it usually take to get an acceptance/rejection letter from the school after submitting an application?

What r ur stats? I believe u have to get an interview first. I also applied in Jan for fall 2019. Can u tell me y u chose Loma Linda? It’s so expensive, I might just go to community and bridge.

I have a 3.6 GPA, an 86 on TEAS and I'm taking the Critical Thinking exam next week! Do you know how long after the submission date they contact people for interviews? I just want to prepare and have a back up just in case I don't hear back from them. I've heard great things about their nursing program and I've been trying to go there for a while. It's also one of the few nursing schools that accept transfer credits from Cal-states.

Wow ur stats r great!! Better then mine. They said about 3-4 weeks after interview. I scored 21 on critical thinking. I would love to go to LLU too but the costs might be too much for me. I just don’t want to b in that kind of debt! ?

Thanks! I just took my critical thinking and I scored 20. Do you remember how long it took for you to get a call for an interview? I turned in my app early and I just wanted to know if I have to wait until after the deadline for a call or if they will call me earlier.

I understand how you feel about the tuition costs. I’m hoping I get financial aid :/

Hi I have applied for Winter of 2020 I was wondering when they start to schedule interviews?

I don’t think they will start I interviews until after deadline unless they have a lot of spots open. I’m sure they want to finish each application cycle one at a time. Right now people r prop accepting the offer and getting their financials in order. But after I took critical thinking they called within a week to schedule my interview.

Okay thank you.

The deadline for fall was March 15th, usually an interview will be scheduled a month later, then acceptance or denial, a month after that. I applied for fall right at deadline, I was sent a denial in the last week of April for a late transcript, so they put me on for winter 2020. However, I just got scheduled for an interview this Friday the 10th. I am not sure if it is for fall or if they are moving ahead on winter, but I am stoked and I expect to hear word in about a month to six weeks. The Critical thinking is pretty short and quick and they get you in FAST. My suggestion if you haven't taken it yet is to go online and take free practice Critical thinking skills tests. Good Luck, I hope to see you.

They started interviewing prior to deadline. When I was waiting to take the CTST, there were 3 people waiting for interviews for fall 2019.

The same thing happened to me with my application, but I haven’t been called to schedule an interview. I called last week to check if all my transcripts were received and they said yes and that they would call me soon. Still haven’t gotten that call yet though.

Has anyone been accepted with an undergrad GPA lower than a 3.0? My prerequisite GPA is a 3.3 but my undergrad GPA isn’t as high. My TEAS exam score is an 88. I’m wondering if they are strict about that if other elements of my application look good. Please and thank you in advance
