Loma Linda BSN Winter 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all,

I just found out that my application was unfortunately denied for Fall 2019 because I didn't take the Critical Thinking test. I took the TEAS at a different testing center and all programs I've seen only required to take the TEAS, so I wasn't aware that there was a second pre-admission test. So, my application is being moved to Winter. Anyways, I was just wondering, how long does it usually take to get an acceptance/rejection letter from the school after submitting an application?

Has anyone been accepted with an undergrad GPA lower than a 3.0? My prerequisite GPA is a 3.3 but my undergrad GPA isn’t as high. My TEAS exam score is an 88. I’m wondering if they are strict about that if other elements of my application look good. Please and thank you in advance

U will be fine.

They mainly look at ur sciences and a few other classes. I had a horrible undergrad GPA like 2.8 (10 yrs ago) Aced all my sciences and a few other classes (last yr) still had classes in session when I applied. Got only a 75 on teas, 21 on critical thinking, did bad on interview imo and was still accepted.

Thank you very much. Very helpful.

Hello,

Has anyone applied already and been called for an interview? If so, what were your TEAS score and GPA? :)

Is anyone here applying in hopes of getting into the March 2020 cohort?

If so, what is your GPA, and TEAS scores?

Also what are some tips in doing good on the TEAS?

I have interviewed for Winter of 2020. My TEAS was a 90, CTST was 21, and GPA is 3.8. I still have not heard anything, however I was on of the first to interview for winter...fingers crossed.

If you wish to do well on the TEAS, I suggest putting apps on your phone that have to do with each or all subject matter on the TEAS, (ie: Reading, English, Sciences*, and Math). I would recommend getting the TEAS test manual from ATI, but most importantly, in my opinion, were the pre-tests. They are expensive, but you can learn so much about what you need to work on from them.

Hi I was just curious how you prepared for the critical thinking and how you got such a high score? I took mine and scored a 12, and I thought that I did well but I didn't.

I called and was scheduled for the next day. I didn't know what to expect so I googled "Critical thinking skills practice tests." I tried a few that afternoon and the next morning I took the test.

Has anyone heard when the committee is meeting, and when should we be potentially hear anything?

I haven't heard anything, but it has to be mid to late August. If determinations were given in May for Fall, then it makes sense that it is August for Winter.

Hi, I was just curious about what the interview is like? What kinds of questions do they ask and is it more than one person interviewing you?
