Loma Linda Adults RN Residency Fall 2025

Published

Hey everyone, I have been looking for the thread for this upcoming cohort for Loma Linda Adults Fall 2025. Application closes today! Good luck 🙂

Got my rejection email yesterday for Observation unit

I did too. This was my third time applying. Getting a job as a new grad is now feeling impossible.

The only units that are critical care would be 7A, 8A, and 9A. They also group 10A and 13A into critical care during new grad residency (learn about gtts, a line, etc.) but these floors do not deal with any titratable drips. 10A is unique in that the floor was originally designed as an ICU so the layout is the same as 7-9a. Here you can get gtts such as heparin, amiodarone, lasix, bumex, dobutamine, dopamine, and a few others but the rule is the gtts must be a fixed rate or only titratable once per shift. This floor also has telemetry monitors in each room. 11a West is transitioning to taking care of more cardiac patients so I believe they too will have telemetry monitors in each room.

Besides the floors mentioned above, the rest of the floors are considered acute care, think of med-surg/telemetry. Here, most patients are not connected to telemetry and those that are, they will either have a portable telemetry monitor in the room or just be monitored via telemetry monitor tech. These floors will instead have the typical vital machine carts you will use to take vitals.

is anyone aware of when the next cohort opens? 🙂

Oct 13th is what I saw on their website

Hello! Any of you got selected for the new grad program and did their TB test via Xray? How soon did you get your result?

Yes! They said it takes 1-2 days but I had to call them to check and see if my results were out. My results came out next day and I got my clearance form quickly. I wouldn't wait for the call because it seemed like they wouldn't or forgot to!

Hey all,

Have any of you received information yet re: orientation? We are less than 2 weeks away from starting and I am wondering when they are going to let us know where we go for orientation and what time each day. If anyone has any idea, please share! Thanks!

Hello! Still haven't received anything too. I also still need to order uniform and haven't received info about that as well.

I haven't received anything official about orientation either, but I did reach out to inquire about what we are to wear during orientation (since I don't have a username to order LL scrubs yet), and was told that we can wear regular scrubs. Hopefully they will send out the official information soon.

Did you all get the email? Sent to me this morning. Has lots of info. Start time and location for first 2 days only, I think they will give us the rest of the schedule on day 1. Excited to start with you all!
