LIU Brooklyn Spring 2018

Hello did not see a thread for LIU brooklyn winter/spring 2018. Has anyone applied yet? if so what was your experience? Anyone have been accepted already?

Hey! I also applied but have not heard anything yet. I visited on Monday to make sure they received all of my documents and an Admissions counselor told me that they are just beginning to review applications for the Spring.

Do you have any insight on the program? I have only really read negative things here...

Hi All,

I applied as well for Spring 2018, they said we should hear something by early/mid October. So far my experienced in applying and getting my questions were good.

My experience getting my questions answered has been pretty good so far as well but I haven't heard the best things about the programs unfortunately

I have read good things and bad things as well--but that's everywhere. I asked one nurse who graduated last year and she told me "the program is great...challenging, but doable--it was worth it."

Last week, I asked a student who is first year in the professional phase how is the program so far? She said "so far, so good--but there's a lot of reading." I am not going to lie, she looked overwhelmed...lol, but that's expected in any nursing program. Whenever I see a student in the gray and white uniform, I approach them and ask questions. Don't be surprise if they cut the conversation short, every second and every minute counts for every nursing student, so I understand all about using your free time wisely.

That definitely sounds like every other program. Im just nervous because i've read that admin doesn't care about you at all and theres no guidance through out the program.

Congrats!!!

Will you be doing the professional or pre-professional phase?

Also, Have you you taking the TEAS already?

I'm having a ton of trouble with application. I keep receiving emails saying it is incomplete but when I called the school they said all my documents have been received and ready to evaluate

Yeah don't listen to the online portion of the school tells you they have then ten don't worry. I hope to go in straight into the program I am getting my AA after this semester. I was going to ask when do we have to take the teas? I thought we had to take it before getting accepted? Anyways I'm studying for it now cause another school in FL I'm applying too offered the teas for free twice the second time they give you the book for free again
