LIU Brooklyn Spring 2018

Published

Hello did not see a thread for LIU brooklyn winter/spring 2018. Has anyone applied yet? if so what was your experience? Anyone have been accepted already?

Yeah don't listen to the online portion of the school tells you they have then ten don't worry. I hope to go in straight into the program I am getting my AA after this semester. I was going to ask when do we have to take the teas? I thought we had to take it before getting accepted? Anyways I'm studying for it now cause another school in FL I'm applying too offered the teas for free twice the second time they give you the book for free again

Just logged onto my LIU once you are admitted you can log in it says school of nursing under grad. I'm hoping since I will have my AA they don't make me do more pre-reqs they want

For free?! That's amazing! I recently took it, I was told that I needed it before being admitted into the professional phase which is where clinicals begin.

And I haven't gotten an email yet and my application doesn't have any info í ½í¸¢

How was it? I've been studying for it little by little because I'm on my last semester of CC and I've been doing so much school work but I plan on taking it next week so let's see how I do! If not I will re-take it for a higher score.

Be positive because I thought I was not going to get in my stats are low but I do believe my essay and LOR were strong.

I have faith that you will get in @futurenurseN just like Nathalie-123 stated, be positive...just dont forget to thank the little people:)

Yep I've been stressing so much about schools and was surprised when I got the acceptance. Lets be positive we are all going to be classmates :)

Also i applied way back in August so if you applied later would make sense why you haven't heard back. You got this! Hopefully we can all meet! I am still waiting to hear from NYU and schools here in FL

Ladies: Are you applying for part-time, full-time or accelerated?

Full time day track for me! I'm out of state so can't go to the school right this second but I am going to call. I wonder what pre reqs they might want me to take

Thanks guys! It would be great if we all started at the same time. An occurring theme I have seen in threads is that we'll need to make friends to help us through.

@ ambitiousjnyc I am planning on being a fulltime day student as well.

@Nathalie-123 TEAS were okay. I studied for it about a month and used the Mometrix study guide. I was able to score over the scores LIU requires for acceptance on the first try just from that book. I would say it was a good investment!

Also, what prerequisites have you taken already?

Okay cool!

I will start part-time so I can get a feel of it. I was able to talk to some of the nursing students and they were telling me the program is no joke.

Here is the website: B.S. in Nursing | LIU

Your best best is to call them first thing in the morning and speak to enrollment to find out what classes you need to take. Hope this helps!

@Nathalie-123 I responded to your comment, but the moderator has to review it first because I copy and pasted the website for prerequisites.

@futurenurseN wow, you too going full-time I give my hat to both of you!!! I have to work full-time and can not risk it, so I will attend part-time for the first semester.

I will take the TEAS in a couple of weeks.
