LIU Brooklyn Spring 2018

Hello did not see a thread for LIU brooklyn winter/spring 2018. Has anyone applied yet? if so what was your experience? Anyone have been accepted already?

Hey! I’m currently a second level nursing student are liu. The curriculum has changed and I believe they are only accepting B’s and better for the pre reqs. It was a C+ or C but they recently changed it two semesters ago.

Do all your pre req courses have to be done before the program or would I be able to retake a pre req while in the program?

I don't think so. Most of them should be done though, especially the science ones. I know a friend that was taking the philosophy and history courses while taking the nursing fundamentals lecture and lab class. If you still have major classes like AP1 and AP2 and Chemistry or microbiology to take they will probably only have you take easy nursing classes like informatics or contemporary topics in nursing.

I know the website states they look at Math: Statistics class, but are they taking science pre-reqs more into consideration when making their decision. I only got a C+ in Stats;(. I don't know if I should retake the class... I have great LOR's and personal statement I wanted to include with my application due to some previous poor grades I wanted to explain.

Good afternoon, I am looking if LIU has evening and weekend classes and clinical because I work full time from 7:30-4:00pm. Thank you.
