Liu Brooklyn absn

Has anyone else here been accepted into the ABSN at LIU Brooklyn for 2020? I was accepted but I’m having a difficult time figuring out my next steps because I wasn’t sent a welcome packet. Anyone having a similar experience?

You don’t buy the kit through castle branch. Your first semester all you need is the scrubs from flynn ohara, a stethoscope and a np monitor. The castlebranch is for clinical clearance. You won’t do those until second semester. Make sure you call and make your schedule ASAP. Classes are almost full right now!

What classes are needed for the 1st semester if you don’t mind me asking.

Hello, I'm planning on applying for LIU ABSN either fall 2020 if thats still open or Spring 2021. I'm having a hard time getting in touch with someone. Anyone knows how long it took for someone to respond?

Hey just apply on their website and someone will reach out to you. I submitted my app few weeks ago and atleast 3 different admission advisors reached out to me regarding sending in my transcripts. So just give it a try !

Hope everyone is safe, Did you already started the Nursing program at LIU? I got accepted at LIU as well, but I'm considering taking an offer from St. Joseph College in Brooklyn. Any recommendations

hey everyone,

I'm applying for the ABSN program. For those in the program how supportive are the professors, do you have study groups, do they proctor exams?

I feel like the tuition is really high so I'm just unsure if I should go here or apply elsewhere ?

I have no communication from the school but for a tuition bill- if this is how they treat us now......

To be honest I just declined their offers. I was waiting before March for a package deal and never gotten just like 2 weeks ago. Believe what they offered me it was mediocre specially for someone who doesn't have no financial aid whatsoever. For a school that doesn't really give much for scholarships, it was a wasted of my time all the back and fort. Emailing constantly and never returned my emails. So disappointed on them. I was looking forward.

Other than I applied to St.joseph I got accepted they told me one thing they offered 10k per year but when, it came for me start schools they gave the run around, I have to do 15 crrdits but they decided to do half this fall and half the Spring semester 2021 so I could start the Nursing program Fall 2021. I was like why don't you put all the classes in one semester, so I could used my scholarship and they were like no. ????? I was going to ended up paying more if I went somewhere else. Most of the school its never a straight forward.

Well I Chosen CMSV. COLLEGE OF MOUNT SAINT VINCENT. To be honest I'm very happy with choice.

Do you research and always asked the right questions.

I had a question in terms of LIU Brooklyn ABSN. On their website they say that they require a B+ on all of the science prerequisites, did you have at least a B+ on all of the science prerequisites or did you have a B or a B- on any of them? I have an A on every prerequisite except for Biology, I have a B, and I have been stressing out about if they will be okay with that. Also how is the program going for you so far? Is it intense and what are you guys doing for clinicals?

I can tell you as a third semester ABSN in this school that they are going to pick it up and tell you that you can’t start until you retake the class. Someone on this thread is going through this exact issue right now. They used to not be strict but it changed.
