At nursing orientation (15 days! so excited!) Littmann Classic II SE and Lightweight II will be sold. However, I'm considering getting a cardiology III. Cheapest I have found is $115. Would you recommend springing for this product? How long has your Cardiology III lasted you?
Littmann's website rates the Cardiology III as a 9/10,
The Lightweight II a 6/10
and the Classic II SE a 7/10
Thoughts? Thanks.

ive had a cardiology III for about a year. love it so much. i had a lightweight before and it's garbage compared to the cardiology III. If you have the money then go for the C III. If not, the lightweight will do. I got the C III as a gift from my sister to replace my lightweight that broke (the bell snapped off)

I have nearly the same question. I'm starting school at the end of August and I'm considering the Cardio III for it's adult/peds versatility. I'm also looking at the Ultrascope Duo for that same feature. I like the Ultrascope because it's a bit easier to personalize (I've heard the how easily steths can get swiped). Does anyone have experience with both and prefer one over the other? Thanks! :)

I just bought a Cardiology III and I LOVE mine! However, I had a Classic II S.E. that got me through most of nursing school (still works just fine, I just wanted a better stethoscope for my upcoming precepting rotation). I think the Classic II S.E. is a great choice for nursing students.
