i was just wondering how come it is so hard to get info for monroe lpn program? it is very expensive and it seems that the people over dont like to give info on the phone> anyone went through their program?
Thanks for the support! I took the NLN test out of state in Illinois on March 19th, 2009. I also took the TEAS less than a year ago out of states, so the college took both scores. I will say that I got my NLN scores right after I took the test. It was online and the teachers gave me my scores when I was done. I had no clue it would be that fast. After I took the TEAS I got the results right away as well. So, I give you the best of luck and I am crossing my fingers for all whom apply at Monroe or any Nursing School, as it is sooo competive and hard to get into these days...I was turned down by LIU and a college by me in Wisconsin, so I just keep trying any school I can!! When you see that 30 people try to get into a Nursing Program and only 15 are accepted a semester, it goes to show how badly we are in need of more schools, larger schools/classes and more nursing faculty..the nursing shortage is huge and if we started getting more nursing schools accredited and more nursing faculty it wouldnt be so darn hard. Good luck!!
Well, I live in Wisconsin, now, but have lived out in NYC for the past few years. Believe it or not..its hard to get into any Nursing School...The 2 year colleges here are all wait listed and than you have to resort to the 4 yr schools. The 4 yr schools, non-private, only accept a certain amount of students, about 100, and base it on numerous things..so who is to say you go to a 4 yr, do well, but you dont get into the program, now wouldnt that be a waste of time? So, I decided to apply for colleges here and in NYC just to see what my options are. So, when I moved out here last June, I applied for a college and they told me to take the ATI-TEAS test, which I did. Than about a month ago, I took the Pre-NLN exam for another college that needed the scores. So, since I took both in less than a year, Monroe said they would take the test scores. So, that is how it worked out for me. So, if you are going to take the NLN exam, check out other colleges that accept those test scores. Look at Phillips Beth Israel in NYC, I applied there, but did not get in, so I just kept a moving....If you have not already, get a Pre-NLN review guide through Amazon or Ebay..It helps you prepare!

Thanks for all of your info! Well, I have a 117 composite score and a 78.8% on my TEAS, so it sounds hopeful! Thanks and how is it going this far?
