I wanted to know if anyone that graduated recently has found that they are listed as a GN or GVN on the BON web site?
The waiting is driving me nuts.

I was not aware that any states listed GNs on their websites. It is my understanding that your name won't appear at all until you pass boards.
hmm, well there is a spot on the BON that says "verify a GN or GVN permit". My employer is waiting on this so I can get GN pay (instead of LVN). Our instructors told us that it would take about a week to show up.

It must depend on your state, our state no longer recognizes a graduate nurse due to the quick lic verification. Our states BON site will list your name and have "pending" behind it until you pass your boards. Pass get a lic number, fail your name goes away.

In PA there are Temporary Practice Permits(TPP) which you apply to the PA BON to recieve, If they issue you one you can look the TPP up for someone just as you would a license, with the TPP your considered a Graduate Registered/Practical Nurse

I graduated May 9th and once my school sent transcripts to the board and everything was "cleared"....my name is now listed as a graduate nurse on the BON. This occurred around the same time I received my ATT. BTW I am in Texas.

Do you have to get your ATT before you are listed on the BON website as a new grad? Just curious as to which comes first, or if they happen simultaneously.
Thanks
