Lippincott Passpoint Nclex scores

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I was wondering what kind of scores people have been getting when they used Lippincott Nclex-rn Passpoint program. I have been getting mostly level 6.2-6.8 with some level 7 and 5. I have gotten to level 8 once. Are these good scores?

Hi sjalv,

how did you do on the NCLEX?! I am using PrepU as well and just wanting to know if you found the test more similar to Kaplan or PrepU

Thanks!

I just took it today, so I dunno if I passed or not. It shut off at 75 questions and I feel like I passed. The user interface is just like Kaplan. However, the questions seemed to be much more straightforward and simple than Kaplan's. Sometimes Kaplan questions are so esoteric and you can't really know what they're asking. With the NCLEX, it is very obvious what they are asking and it's just a matter of if you can figure out or not. This was my experience, anyway. I would say prepare with Kaplan and you'll be more than prepared for the actual NCLEX. I wasn't even scoring what Kaplan recommends. I had a 59 on Qtrainer7, for example. I never made a 60 or higher on any of the qtrainers, and I feel like I passed.

I didn't do PrepU that much so I'm not super familiar with it.

I have a ML of 8 for all quizzes and exams. I just took the NCLEX 9/14/2017 but my results are still "on hold". Today is 9/20/2017. Apparently, someone from my school had results on hold for 6 weeks because he got every single question correct. Our school has a 98% pass rate average, with most graduating classes at 100% pass. So, I believe the passpoint is good prep if you use it.

I hope you get your results soon. Do you feel like pass point prepared you? Were the questions similar?

I feel like it prepared me. At the end if each quiz or test..you can see everything you got wrong and read rationales. They are "simple" and not super complicated. I felt the nclex exam was similar. Straight to the point. Not super lengthy like kaplan. I also used an app called "NCLEX PN Mastery" and felt it was awesome. I could do either passport or the app from my phone, if I was on a break..whatever. some rationales were simple, for example: eliminate A & C because they have nothing to do with disease XXX and B & D do. Answer B ...therefore C is the BEST choice.
