Linfield ABSN Summer 2021

Hi there,

I didn't see a forum for Linfield ABSN Summer 2021 so thought I would start one! Any others out there? I am super excited about this program so my fingers are crossed. I know it is pretty competitive.

How is everyone feeling?

hi! Thank you for starting a forum! This is my top choice and I am excited/nervous to hear back. I am curious about how competitive this program is this year because it seems like health care education is even more competitive this year! Good luck everyone!

Of course! I have been getting more and more excited about this program since doing more research. I am from California, and have heard really great things about Linfield.  

I retook Anatomy, and Physiology so I hope that doesn't weigh too much on my application. Hoping for the best for us all!

Have you received anything confirming application received from Linfield ?

I got a confirmation email after I submitted my supplemental application fee and my application has been verified in NursingCas. What about you?

Yes I got the same, I was just curious if they sent you a separate email yet. Okay sounds good looks like we are on the same page then! I just wanted to be sure I wasn’t missing anything.

I applied as well and received a confirmation email from linfield today. Anyone mind sharing their application stats? I have a 4.0 pre req GPA but my last 2 pre reqs are still in progress. My college GPA was 3.55.

Hi guys! I also applied to this cohort and am super nervous and excited; it's nice to know there are others out there feeling the same way. The wait until April is going to feel endless ?  My stats are 4.0 A&P GPA, 3.8 Science GPA, and 3.87 nursing pre-req GPA (which I believe is the order they look at your GPAs in). I'm hoping those are at least somewhat competitive. I'm so ready to get started in the field of nursing and I hope this program works out for all of us!

Hi there!

Wow all of your stats are fantastic! I am currently retaking physiology lecture, but if I receive an A which so far so good, my A&P GPA will be 3.84, Science GPA 3.66, and 3.64 Nursing GPA. I have no clue what to expect because I am not sure what they view as competitive either or if they take into account health experience of any sort. I just keep hoping whatever happens will be for the best! I really am excited about this program though. 

Are you all from Oregon? I am from CA!

Hey all!

Great to see that there's some activity here. Just graduated from Oregon State University and working as a CNA and endoscopy tech. Since everyone is sharing stats, here's mine: A&P GPA 3.73, Science GPA 4.0, and Nursing Pre-req GPA 3.91.

I've only received the one email from Linfield confirming that all materials and application were received by the deadline. Now to wait for admission decisions! All the best to all of you too; very excited about this program.

Hello! 

Does anyone have any info on the average actual cost of the program? The listed price of this program is more expensive than the other programs I applied to, including more expensive than OHSU. For one school (Cedar Crest in PA), a representative told me that they realized CC's program is more expensive than other programs in the area, so each student is guaranteed a $10k scholarship at the very least.  Anyone know if there's anything like that for Linfield? Or point me towards a resource? Thanks so much! Good luck everyone!
