  1. Hello again ? Okay! So just chatted with UM. They confirmed no financial aid package until mid-April. The person said to base our budgeting as if we'll be getting the max amount of federal available to us individually (check the federal aid website) then plan for covering the remainder of the balance ourselves (with our own money or private loans). For me, this is enough information to make my decision!
  2. Thanks for the response. I've heard back from another program & the financial aid package was significantly more than $7500 so I'm definitely going to wait to hear from UM before making any decisions. I'm just interested if anyone has information about when UM will notify us of our packages.
  3. Thank you for sharing! I appreciate hearing someone else's experience. Just to be clear, 'Mid-April' is a comment on the facebook page, I don't have evidence that UM reported that timeline. Another school I got into sent me the financial aid package just days after my acceptance email. At the moment, I need to respond to UM by March 18th yes or no, but it's simply not a decision I can make without seeing financial aid package to determine: Will federal loans be ample enough to cover all of tuition & also living expenses? What can my budget for housing be? What will my personal contribution need to be? Will I need to pursue private loans? It feels like such a big deal with a rapidly approaching decision deadline followed quickly by a move across the country to attend. Sounds like we are in the same boat! I plan to call financial aid this week.
  4. Has anyone admitted to the May start received a financial aid package yet? Someone on the facebook group shared that financial aid packages won't be issued until mid-April, but I can't accept a position at the school without knowing the aid package! I'll call this week but just wanted to check-in here! Thanks so much! Hope everyone is well ?
  5. I'm pleased to say that I heard from U Miami SoNHS today! I'll be seeing you all in May. I'll connect to the facebook group now. Best of luck to those still looking to hear from admissions!
  6. Hello! Congrats & good luck to everybody. I applied to U of Miami I'm exited! I was wondering if anyone noticed how far into the program clinicals begin? I just got into one school & clinicals start week 1 or 2 (which sounds awesome to me) so I'm just wondering if anyone has gotten that info?
  7. Hello! Does anyone have any info on the average actual cost of the program? The listed price of this program is more expensive than the other programs I applied to, including more expensive than OHSU. For one school (Cedar Crest in PA), a representative told me that they realized CC's program is more expensive than other programs in the area, so each student is guaranteed a $10k scholarship at the very least. Anyone know if there's anything like that for Linfield? Or point me towards a resource? Thanks so much! Good luck everyone!
