I just took the NCLEX RN earlier this morning and it was very difficult! I really felt like I wasn't sure on how well I did..
but I checked my state's BON website and my name showed up on the license verification search engine as PENDING - license number not yet issued... Is this the normal process? I looked under their policies and there's no mention on it... If it helps to answer my question I'm also a foreign grad.
And I haven't called the BON to verify yet because their office hours are closed :-( I just wanted to ask here beforehand to help alleviate some post NCLEX anxiety..

Hello, depending on state, this is normal. When you pass your license number will appear on there. When one fails, it remains like that. Pending does not indicate pass of fail.
Thank you for the info, I guess the waiting game continues :-/

Mine said pending from the time I got my ATI until I passed. It's normal in some states.

@xChai, let me be the first to congratulate you. I had the same thing happen to me last week and within 30 minutes of taking my NCLEX, I checked on line and found my name with a pending license, I called my BON to ask them but they said they don't even my my result and won't have it back until the next day. After all usual indicators were tried, good pop up and all, second scoring, all done and 48hrs later I found out I passed with the quick result. Mind you, after I did the test the first time and failed, I checked and my name did not even show up at all. So it must be a good sign for you, except the second scoring fails you which is highly unlikely. Congratulations again!!!
Rnof92014.This is not accurate. When u fail it will still say pending
@ipassesnclex11/14, what is not accurate? That I did mine last week and had my name up within 30 minutes of doing the test showing as pending, and later passed or that I did it the first time and failed and didn't have my name showing at all? This is a personal experience and not hear say. If you know anyone that did theirs in Indiana, had their name up and failed, put it up here, we will know if we can make a definitive conclusion based on patterns. I agree that different states have their different ways of doing things but Indiana is the one I know and can talk about based on my very recent (one week ago)personal experience.
Thanks again to everyone for all the information, my license has now been updated to "Active" with my license number posted with it.
