license endorsement

do you still need to have a nursing work experience before you can have your license endorsed to another state? im planning to take my nclex in NY and after I pass it and get my license, I will immediately apply for endorsement to Nevada. would i still need to work in NY so that my request for endorsement to NV will be approved?

For Nevada, it doesn't look like you need working experience before getting endorsement.

How to apply for RN/LPN Licensure :: Nevada State Board of Nursing

thank you so much :)

Are you planning on relocating to Nevada after you graduate? If you know that you are going to relocate to Nevada, and you are not planning on working in New York, why not apply for initial licensure there, rather than New York?

I don't know about a time savings, however you would save the cost of the initial New York application.

I chose to apply to NY because the application process there is easier and faster compared to NV. NV requires IELTS/TOEFL and CGFNS. In NY, they only require CGFNS and they don't even require a live scan.

Be aware even when endorsing as a International trained nurse you may still have to meet requirements of the new BON. Take me for example, intial licensure NY bon and when I endorsed to AZ I still had to complete CES and meet their requirement
