I just read an Aussie poem. It goes:
You're the Gold to my Coast, the Vegemite to my toast
The sea to the sand, the beer in my hand
The thong to my foot, the Rhonda to my Ketut
The kanga to my roo, the barbie to my q
The Wi to my Fi, the sauce on my pie
The harbour to my bridge, the lamingtons in my fridge
The heat to my rash, the grog to my stash
The Holden to my Ute …
And it got me thinking... The people on AN are some of the wittiest I've ever encountered. Perhaps we can make our own Nurses poem this way!
Shall I start?
You're the black pen to my chart
The stethoscope on my heart ... who wants to continue?
You're the axis to my deviation
The ST to my elevation
You're the peaks in my T waves
The kayexalate to make the saves
You're the flutter to my fib
the sternum to my rib
You're the ears in my QRS
the dopamine in my stress
You're the murmur in my heart
the paddles on my cart
You're the rhythm at my junction
the cause of my dysfunction
You're the ejection to my fraction
the polydrug interaction
You're the alteplase to my thrombosis
The diffusion to my osmosis
You're the PAWP to my PEEP
The ambien to my sleep
You're the nurse and not my slave
Cheating death right at the grave
You're the Foley in my holey.
Oh that is hilarious. I just read the post before you, detailed, clinical words. I'm thinking "wow, this person has thought long and hard to make this poem!" Then I read yours straight under and LITERALLY burst out laughing! I'm still chuckling. You're a gem Farawyn, cheers for the belly laugh today. Much needed.

You rock Just and R.N, love everything you wrote. Thanks so much for your input, it freaking rocks.
Just loved R.N
R.N loved Just
They probably are nurses
and have dealt with pus
Pus for the Just
and R.N is asymptomatic
so they'll be replying

Thanks. The 2 posts are a nice contrast, yes?
