Hey All ,
I wanted to start a topic to see if anyone got into Lehman College this year (2023) for the FNP program and if they are considering going. Also have you heard any pros/cons about the school? If anyone is currently enrolled now any feedback and/or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
@futureRNinTheMakingomgg that is such a long time! I hope they tell you sooner than that! *fingers crossed* Do you have any other backup if you don't get in? Or will you wait to apply for next term?
Hi all, I am currently to hear back from Lehman as well in regards to my acceptance, how long till you heard back from them after your application was submitted, and who do you email to find out ? Does anyone know how long the FNP post masters certificate take for the 30 credits? Thanks in advance everyone!
Hi @nixie22 I applied to all my schools including Lehman very early last year in October. I wanted to get rid of them before the holidays and the start of the new year. I got my acceptance letter in late February. When I had questions I just emailed the generic [email protected] and somebody got back to me. They also have live agents that you can chat with during the weekday from like 9-5 but I didn't do that. I'm not taking the post-certificate so I'm not sure how long it takes mine is two years and 45 credits and the post-certificate like you said is 30 credits so maybe it's a year and a half. I don't think you can take certain classes faster or sooner without passing the class before it if that makes sense.
Thank you so much for the info. I'm still waiting on the decision. Hopefully I hear back soon. I got accepted at college of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx it's a little more expensive than Lehman $800 + per credit so really want to get into Lehman and they don't Start till Spring 2024 because I'm doing post masters. I've been trying to email the graduation admissions person for more course specific information but she's not responding to me. Do you guys know if you can take classes during the Summer too. I also saw the curriculum online and looks like it's 20 months for post masters. I hope o hear back soon!
@nixie22 congrats! I'm starting this Fall. I had gotten an email that I could register for classes last week but whenever I try I validate my courses. It tells me I need department approval. I had to reach out to the department chair but nothing has changed. But based on the seats available for courses nobody has either because it still says 0 LOL so IDK what's going on.
It has been a few years since I was there, but when I was there you were able to take the NUR600 class in the Summer before, so you will have less classes when you start NUR720. (That's what I did).
Also when I was there, you were told to find clinicals yourself, but if somebody couldn't find, they would help you find them
