Learning ABG's with tic-tac-toe

Published

Hello everyone, I was taught how to interpret ABGs using the ROME acronym, but could not for the life of me understand the concept; therefore, I went ahead and found an alternative using the ABG tic tac toe method. I completely understand now, but I was just wondering.. is this an effective way of interpreting abgs? I mean, is there any way that this could go wrong or be interpreted wrong and is there a preference over the ROME method and the tic tac toe method? thanks in advance !

Looks good. I don't use that method, but if it's what works for you, then go for it.

I have always used tic tac toe. Worked for nursing school, ER and an acute care nurse practitioner program and job.

That's the method that made me understand it and it has always worked for me on exams.

If you need help, I recommend the following resources:

- ABG Tic Tac Toe

- Does a good job going over full and partial compensation

Thank you.
