Has anyone applied to CWRU's LEAP Certificate program? Pros/Cons? Any helpful hints? How does the matching with a CRNA program work? Do you have any say in the decision?

Applications due: Feb 15th
Invitations: March 15th
Interviews: March 31st
Acceptance: April 15th
Program starts: June 15th
So looks like we may have a couple more weeks to wait. Are ya'll still applying to other programs in the meantime?
Maybe this is best for a current student, but when does a LEAP student find out when they're matched to a program? If all of the directors are there interviewing you for the program, they help determine those students for the next cohort, but the student doesn't know until the Spring before the CRNA program? I guess, long story short, do you go in the LEAP program without knowing where you'll end up, contingent upon completion of LEAP program?

Students' acceptance into a program is dependent on how well they do in the LEAP program. They must be successful. Students find out where they are placed at the end of February early March. You provide a top three rank and they try their best to accommodate but not always guaranteed.
Hi! I wanted to offer some timeline and advice because it is FAR too early to get discouraged based on ONE timeline that happened last year for a different cohort.
We learned of our school matches on 2/28. We just got back from simulation weekend and we are now on Spring break. That's a different timeline than the first cohort. Allow administration and faculty to get back to the regular swing of things. You're not missing out on anything, there isn't some penalty from finding out a week or more later than last year. I know as ICU nurses we are mostly type A so when something seemed to occur out of an order we aren't used to, it can lead to frustration and doubt. That's not the case here. They just got back from a conference, matches, and simulation and of course Case's own CRNA program. I get waiting makes one anxious, but don't psych yourself out here. The program starts in June. It's March.
In the meantime, my advice would be to prep for interviews. These aren't "light" interviews y'all. Even if you don't get an interview with LEAP, prepping for CRNA interviews ahead of time will serve you well. They can literally ask you ANYTHING. You want to find out you got an interview and have a week to study everything or go ahead and start that process now? I'll tell you, this journey is all about staying ready. So my suggestion would be to study and get right. "Stay ready, never gotta get ready".
