Has anyone applied to CWRU's LEAP Certificate program? Pros/Cons? Any helpful hints? How does the matching with a CRNA program work? Do you have any say in the decision?

So I also spoke with someone who matriculated through the program and they found out this week last year about interviews. Echoing what was said earlier I'm hoping we hear something in the next couple of days. I haven't seen a status change on my application - it only says submitted. Remaining hopeful!

Do you know if they were informed via email or phone? LOL I've been checking my email every couple of hours.

Via email! the previous class just found out where they'll be attending CRNA school so admissions + staff might be focusing on that right now.

The anticipation is killing me! ? Goodluck to everyone!

OooOo thats exciting about the current class finding out where they will be attending CRNA school. I wonder how many people have applied this year to the LEAP program? Sounds like they take 22 students. I'm trying not to get my hopes up high but would be over the moon if an interview was offered! I'll let everyone know if I hear anything anytime soon! Crossing my fingers for everyone!

Very exciting! From the info session I attended over the Summer it sounds like about 50-70 people applied the previous year. They also mentioned they were adding new partner schools so I believe 22 accepted students is the correct number for this upcoming class that would matriculate Summer 2023.

Do you know someone in the program already? I just wonder what current students were like prior to getting in. As in what were their deficits as to why they felt as if they needed this program ya know? Basically, the essay questions... I struggled when I first went to college and feel as if that has haunted me ever since. I try to leave that behind and concentrate on my current success's like passing CCRN and just passing Organic Chem with a A- in hopes that they can overlook the past. Ughhh IDK we shall see... ?

I'm in the current cohort. None of us have deficits if I'm being honest. CRNA school is extremely tough to get into and even more barriers for minorities. Admission will depend on the strength of current applicants. Always put your best forward, don't dwell on what you think your weaknesses are.

I do, I also attended the info session where they stated this program is aimed at students who applied the traditional route and were not accepted. Also aimed at students who had academic hardship but have shown growth academically but still not been able to obtain CRNA school acceptance the traditional route.

I also attended the info session and kind of grasped that as well but after talking to a gal in the program I didn't feel as if she had any deficits. She seemed like a great candidate for any school. Kind of like Pearl stated "Always put your best forward, don't dwell on what you think your weaknesses are." I have to keep telling myself this! ?

Hello, I was trying to send you PM and wasn't allowed. If possible can you send me an email at [email protected]. Thank you.

Has anyone heard anything? I'm starting to get a little discouraged hope I hear from them this week.
