Nursing Students SRNA

Has anyone applied to CWRU's LEAP Certificate program? Pros/Cons? Any helpful hints? How does the matching with a CRNA program work? Do you have any say in the decision?

Anyone else get waitlisted? Still hoping to get in ?

Yes I did and that if my standing changes I will be notified by June.
I don't think those accepted will turn down their acceptance but who knows.

Congrats to everyone that got in! The program is tough, but worth the journey. As I'm sure you've been told, this isn't anesthesia school lite. It being a certificate program does not correlate with rigor. Get your affairs in order, have those crucial conversations with significant others, family, and friends in regards to time. Drop down to per diem or work out a schedule with your job. TAKE A VACATION. Take the GRE prior to if you can! make sure your have the proper technology (laptop with storage, dedicated space to study, etc). Don't focus on school choice right now. I promise you, that is the least of your tasks. Adjusting to rigor should be priority and school matches don't happen until Spring. Gotta get through Summer and fall. Congrats again!

For those that were waitlisted, don't count yourself out. So far, both cohorts have had one person drop prior to the program because they ended up getting into CRNA school. Be ready for that though because your turnaround time will be quick if you get iff the waitlist.

For those that didn't get in, this isn't rejection, this is your pivot. Don't be down on yourself. Be sad, be disappointed. Feel your feelings and PIVOT. This is simply a not right now. Keep applying, keep strengthening your application. You just need one yes and I promise you those no's build traits that can't be taught anywhere. A no isn't a reflection of who you are and what you bring to the table. It just means pivot. If CRNA is placed on your heart, GO GET IT.

- sincerely, heard a lot of NOs and laughs before I got my yes. SRNA Class of 2026.

Thanks for your insight! Any reason for taking the GRE prior to? I took it before and hated that test to be honest haha.

You need to take the GRE as some of the schools require it. Taking it prior to the program will just lessen your to-dos and work load. If you've already taken it, fantastic! One less stressor!

Has anyone received a denial after interviewing? I know acceptance and waitlist notices went out last week. Good luck to those who were accepted. This is just the beginning and a HUGE step for you

I will be denying my acceptance as I just found out I was accepted directly to another program with a start of this fall. Wishing everyone who was accepted the absolute best my future colleagues! And big congratulations to whoever comes off the waitlist ❤️
