LEAP Certificate 2023

Has anyone applied to CWRU's LEAP Certificate program? Pros/Cons? Any helpful hints? How does the matching with a CRNA program work? Do you have any say in the decision?

Yea I got a rejection. It was the first year of the program. I also applied late so IDK if that had anything to do with it. But this time I applied early LOL. And I got my ccrn and cmc. I also took some grad classes. So hopefully I get an interview this time.

Well, I'm back again! This is my second time applying, I tried when the program first began. I hadn't had any Cert and hadn't attempted any science courses to increase my GPA. So hopefully I can get an interview this time.

Goodluck to you! Isn't it crazy how you learn so much along the way when it comes to applying to this type of program? Very excited for you! Do you remember about how long it took for them to send you a letter stating you did or did not get an interview? Now that you have some cert's under your belt and a class or whatnot are you applying to other schools as well?

I heard I was denied a week to the program starting. I applied to CRNA programs last year too but was denied. I also went to a nursing program that had a pass/ no pass system that I believe could be a hinderance also. So I really need this program.

Same here!! I am so anxious ? ... I had a friend in the last cohort who told me that it only took a couple weeks til the school reached out... it's certainly been just about the same amount of time, if not more, since the deadline. I plan on taking my CCRN in a couple wks but I made them aware of that in my letter. So fingers crossed!!

I just received last year's timeline from a current student in the leap program. 

Applications due: Feb 15th

Invitations: March 15th

Interviews: March 31st

Acceptance: April 15th

Program starts: June 15th

So looks like we may have a couple more weeks to wait. Are ya'll still applying to other programs in the meantime?
