Hi Everyone,
Wanted to start a thread for Lawson State Hopefuls Nursing Program SUMMER AND FALL 2016. Are there anyone that will be applying soon or already a Nursing student in the program already? I will be apply in a few months from now
Thank you!!
I only applied to RN but someone told me a while ago if u fall in the range for LPN they will offer that to u!
Yeah I heard that it was possible. Sorry to keep asking questions. But did they state all of this in one letter or did they offer you the lpn in another letter? Trying to see how this works so I will kinda know next year. But Im guessing since its only a Nursing program and you either go 3 semesters or just go the next 2 semesters and be a RN it will be a lot easier

Oh okay no problem. Okay Congrats again hopefully next year will be better news for me. These weeks and months are flying by fast
It will. What all did u say u had left to take again? Atleast now u have time to get everything together. Make a higher score on TEAS take some small classes to get your gpa as high as you can and finish your science classes with an (A) if u already havent and take the HPS for the extra points and when you apply next year you will know for sure that you will get in without any doubts
Praise the Lord, last week I got my acceptance letter to Lawson's Bessemer campus RN night time school for the fall. This has been 2 long years of applying, praying and waiting. I want to give someone out there encouragement to hang in there, never give up, keep moving forward improving your scores and grades and apply at all schools of your choice. My main choice was Jeff State, but after a year and a half of applying 3 times, taking Teas test 3 times each with improvement, B's in all science and math classes and STILL rejected....I decided to apply elsewhere. So again, don't give up. The last two years for me have definitely been discouraging, definitely been disheartening BUT I dusted myself off after each rejection letter, did what I could to improve my points and applied each time I could. I'm thankful I didn't give up, quit or settle for another degree when I had nursing in mind. You who just received rejection letters, you're not failures, dust your self off and keep pursuing your dreams!
That is great ! Congratulations. I wish I had gotten accepted to the RN but was offered LPN I accepted because I know Im going right back for my RN and LPN is only 3 semesters. You have to get in where u fit in an plus God knows best. You were rejected those times simply because God knew when you were going to be ready. You kept your faith and didnt give up!! Congrats again!! You are going to do great.
Hey. Everyone who got accepted into the program what are the next steps after drug screen an background? The payment still hasnt cleared in my account yet so Im guessing after payment goes thru they will send another email and what are you all doing about the flu shots since they donthave them in right now
It takes a while for the money to clear. It did my class the same way. As for flu shot, you can have it documented when you last received one. Get a printout from where you got it. They know that flu shots don't usually come until October so you're fine for that as long as you had one last year. Make sure you have everything scanned/faxed to ESS. You have to scan everything. It does not automatically cross over. They are a real pain in the butt. They will tell you on the first day of class/orientation when everything is due.
Okay do just scan everything to them instead of fax? And I think I got a flu shot last year but cant remember wonder how can I find that out I cant rem if I got it at my job or not last year. The doctor that did my physical told me that when I do gett my flu shot I can attach it or just give it to them whenever I guess
