U.S.A. Massachusetts

Hey there! I was accepted to the Lawrence Memorial/Regis College nursing program and will begin in the Fall of 2011. I just wanted to know if there are any other students on here that are currently in the program, have already graduated, or will be starting at the same time? I am super excited and can't wait to begin! I know it will be challenging but I am ready to take it on!!!! I would like to hear from anyone that has graduated and it working - anyone that is willing to share their experience!! Thanks!!!!

just a reminder not to name instructors as per the terms of service of the site

no potentially libelous information about specific schools, instructors, or health care facilities/entities should be posted in these forums. while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:

1. it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.

2. while this site is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.

3. please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.

have a great day!!:nurse:

YES -- it is a 3 credit Ethics course. Its 6 days a week for two weeks from 9am - 1pm ( i think?)

Well hopefully there is a spot for you in the day program and I'll see you at orientation in August!!! I still need statistics and ethics but was planning to take them next summer or maybe an intersession if possible. I know that ethics is offered as a 6 week course in the summer from 9-1 or 5-9 two days a week. The only prep work I am concerened about is the math, apparently they quiz you in the beginning and you need to do well. It is just basic stuff but math is my weak spot! They give you a study packet though! Good luck getting a spot! If they told you to email her, that is probably a good sign!

Math is the my weak spot too!!! Oh Lord!!! So in the packet, you received there is no algebra? I hope not! Thank God they give us the material before to study!

I sure hope to start in Fall. Wow you have pretty much all of the courses out of the way! Those two will be good for next summer, like you said!;)

If you want to email me, feel free at [email protected]. (are we allowed to post that?) I'm new here. :o

Hey everyone! Is anyone on this thread staring In the fall? I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!!!

I am starting this fall!! Night/weekend program? You? I'm very excited for orientation next week!!

Hi I applied to LM nursing program and they recieved my package on August 28th. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to hear if you are accepted or not? I called and asked someone at the school and was told two months. Thanks.

Specializes in Med-Surg, Ortho, Subacute, Homecare, LTC.

I was also told two months, but she also mentioned the woman was only taking about one month to email back applicants right now.

Hi MolsLPN when did you apply to the program? And which semester are you trying to get into? I am hoping to get into the Spring of 2012. Did you ever receive the e-mail stating your application was complete and the board would be reviewing it in 6 weeks? I am just starting to get really nervous and am so ready to get an answer. Also I am from out of state I wonder how many applicants they take in that are not from Mass. Did you go to the information session? Sorry I just have so many questions but am scared to call and ask because I don't want them to get annoyed with me lol Thanks for getting back to me.

I did get an e-mail from them saying I would hear in about two months, but most likely one month. I sent in my application a few weeks ago, but it was missing a couple of things. They finally received my high school transcripts today. I'm specifically applying to the LPN-RN program so I'm not sure if it may differ from the other programs. I would just call them and see if they have everything, better safe than sorry!
