Hello,

I’m interested in ASN program at Las Vegas College in Henderson, NV.

Is there anyone who graduated the ASN program there? Or currently taking the program there?

Can you share your experience? Like how the class scheduled? How’s your clinical rotation experiences?(Which clinical rotations are hard/ tough?) Which classes are hard? How many people are graduating on time? Is there preceptorship in the program? How’s employment rate after graduation? If I need to move to other states, BON in other state will be able to recognize the nursing credentials from Las Vegas College? and Any study tips etc...

Any information would be greatly appreciated and looking forward to hearing from those who graduated from there or are currently taking courses there.:)

Hello , iam looking into this program as well

I saw your post and I wanted to find out if you decided to go through with Las Vegas a College, and if so what your experience has been like?

Specializes in Urgent Care.

I was also looking at this school...

I lived in Vegas for three years and I have never once heard of this school....are you sure it's accredited and what are the pass rates for people successfully passing their boards?

Pass rate is something 92.98% and it’s listed as an approved school by the Nevada nursing board.

I currently attend LV College. I just started April 6th. The classes are in 12 week blocks. I am currently taking A&P and Algebra.

Hey! I'm considering this school as well but everything I find out about them sounds sketchier and sketchier. I did the whole phone interview with an admission counselor and I asked her point blank if they accept everyone who meets their minimum requirements, and she said "yes". While there is a part of me that was thrilled at such a guarantee considering how difficult it is to get into most nursing programs, this also sent off alarm bells. This inspired me to try digging deeper to find any information about this school from previous students then I finally found this page of reviews:

https://www.yelp.com/biz/las-vegas-college-henderson

Although it looks bad given all 5 were 1-star reviews, none of them were from actual students. They were all about the admission process/an admissions counselor, complaining about the lack of transparency. One says Las Vegas College has changed their name many times and one of them was "Corithian colleges which they are well known for committing fraud."

Not sure how much any of that is true, but just the fact that they accept everyone I think is concern enough... Not sure if I'm still going to apply... I guess if I'm not accepted by any other school maybe... desperate times and all.

Thanks for the information. I was in that same position. I filled all the paperwork out and I even paid the $200 for the background and drug testing. All of a sudden one day I got a call from one of the academic advisors asking if I was still interested in more information. I called her back and advised her of that. She advised me the lady I was previously working with was no longer with the company and she was just trying to pick up where she left off, which sounded strange to me. She stated after many calls back and fourth she couldn’t find my paperwork and to start the process over. I filled out the papers digitally and sent all my information in. She kept calling me as if she hadn’t spoken with me before asking if I still needed information about the school. I’m a very no nonsense person, and one day she called me 4 times in a row after speaking with me. Once I finally got my paperwork in to her she said she couldn’t find it in her email wanted me to redo it. I’d interviewed at another school and gotten in, and that same day she called me to tel me she finally found my papers. I told her I wouldn’t be attending their school. Worst experience of my life.

@Sperlv Hey! Thanks for the response! Yeah that sounds truly awful! Where did you end up getting in?? Is it also in Vegas?

After your story I was ready to write it off entirely, however upon retreading your earlier comments about their NCLEX passrate makes me hesitate... how can their passrate be so high if their are not to be trusted/ such a shady school?... I’m so fearful of not getting into any other programs that I find I’m still trying to hold onto hope for this place...

@KiyomiM hey, can you tell us a bit more about your experience at LVC? Do you recommend it?
