Language proficiency for International students

I am an international student in Canada. I recently passed Nclex and Jurisprudence exam and left with language proficiency. one of criteria of language proficiency is that your employer sent a reference letter to cno and I wanna ask if any RN went through this process. can you please care to tell me did cno accept that letter and how much time it took for you to get approved from cno? I will wait for your response.

I shall be really very thankful to you for your help.

Pruthvi here, I passed CPNRE in 2018. I need help to write a letter for waived English language requirements . My employer already submitted their on behalf of me but still they want my letter for explanation.

Hope you guys help me. ?? please give me sample how to write. Waiting for rply.

Is this a serious question? First, NNAS will be the ones requiring language proficiency before CNO even gets involved. Second, language proficiency testing must be through either IELTS or CELBAN; minimum scores must be achieved on the ACADEMIC English test, something a supervisor at Subway isn't going to know anything about. Language proficiency testing is not something that should ever be watered down because people's lives hang in the balance. Nurses must be able to communicate concisely and effectively in either English or French to be safe providers of health care. End of story.

Thanks for your reply. I have cleared CPNRE and just English is only the outstanding requirement left. I have sent all documents and Cno said that my file will be referred to registration committee so I am very curious to know if they will accept or not.

Hi ,

I have met all the other requirements for RPn except language proficiency.. I have already sent my documents form employer from McDonald’s. Can anyone tell me if there’s any chance of getting them accepted?

Hi there,

 I have completed all other requirements for RN  except language proficiency. I need your help about Language proficiency for the CNO. I know that the CNO needs  one  language proficiency form filled by me and  another from my employer with reference letter and job description for HCA.

Letter from my employer: I need a sample letter format which confirms and verifies my English proficiency in Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading. Can anyone please help me with "reference letter format "from my employer? If so, I'd really appreciate if you could share your information about the letter.  Letter from me (applicant):  do anyone have any sample letter to show how to request the CNO committee to review the letter of employer? 

Please can someone help me in this  because my evidence of practice will expire within 5 months before that I want to send documents to CNO for  reviewing  it. I really appreciate your help. if someone going through  same process.
