Langara Fall 2017

Hi!

It's super early but I wanted to start a thread for those planning to apply to Langara for the Fall 2017 intake!

I am finishing one last prerequisite and will be applying as soon as applications open in November.

Who else is going to apply to this intake?!

Congrats! Do you receive your acceptance letter in your Langara email or in another email you registered when you applied? Also do you know how many students they accept per intake?

They accept 90 students per intake. You receive your acceptance letter through your regular email (or at least I did, through my gmail!).

What? I should have applied! Mine is 3.51!

but I have applied for bcit and is going to take their two electives. My friend got accepted by langara with GPA 3.8 but he said if bcit accepts him he will go to bcit.

------Due to lengthy waitlist applications are currently closed.------this is what VCC says on the website. -----I am on the waitlist from January and not assuming I can cut into the line.

Just curious, do they also let you know if you have been rejected? Does your application status change? Mine currently shows application complete

I did not apply for langara but vcc. Someone here said vcc stopped accepting new nursing applications. That's what found on that website. I may try langara next time.

If you meet the minimum requirements and the seats are full, you'll be put on the waitlist and then as classes start if you haven't made it in, your application gets officially declined. The frustrating part is Langara says they are "unable to advise as to position on waitlist," so once you're on the list they won't tell you if you are number 2 or 75. But I think you have a good chance!

Hello everyone,

I have a GPA of 3.33 and I've been waitlisted for the program since they sent me an email this morning and I checked that my status has changed to "waitlisted for career program" on Mar 10 3:14pm. Just wondering if anyone else who got waitlisted had their status changed at the same time as well?

Ive been waitlisted with a 3.00 GPA on March 10 at 14:21. My application status was completed on January 18. idk if time of completion is a factor of time being waitlisted.
