  1. This is my first time applying to BCIT's nursing program, Have with me a healthcare assistant program certificate and have been an experienced care aide for 2 years. Ive been informed by the nursing department that cGPA of all submitted transcripts is what they look for and not only the prereq GPA, so mine falls between 3.3-3.6 as i remember my previous calculation. I also included a reference letter from my employer that includes my hours worked at a senior facility i work in.
  2. Should we start a facebook group for April 2018 BSN students? That seems to be a trend of nursing students at bcit. í ½í¸
  3. mine started with "C"
  4. I got my acceptance letter just now
  5. My nervousness went from 0 to 9 for a second. LMAO
  6. Well its says on the notice board that answeres should be "based on your personal and professional experiences" and not "and/or". I dont mean to Take it literally, but pointing that part out from their instructions can help us answer what they are looking for, i think.
  7. good lord god, I was at the public library doing the online quiz and for some reason, i got disconnected from the internet. LMAO good thing i remembered not to close the browser, so i just connected my laptop to my phones internet. i hope it saved everything LOL all my examples are based on professional experiences. o_o so i don't know if i met the personal level of their marking. agh.
  8. This is the first time im applying to BCIT's nursing program and I have no idea how the questionnaire will look like; but i think the topics attached onto our emails is always a good start on knowing what will show up. You can also try digging through similar threads and find what people posted about the questionnaire. I'll write it this friday. Good luck to all of us. í ½í¹Œ
  9. will it change if im a sassy guy? LMAO
  10. i've been shortlisted @ 1250hrs. ermergerd.
  11. I applied for this intake with a 3.46 GPA on program prereqs. Im not sure what my CGPA is, but i believe it falls between 3.0-3.5. I also am a Healthcare Assistant 2015 graduate from VCC and have been working as a Care Aide in Senior facilities and Community settings with a total of 2.5k work hour seniority. Ive done Pathophysiology and Microbiology, another english elective at Douglas and health ethics at BCIT. my post secondary credits falls around 40-50ish which includes both UT courses ive taken and the HCA courses. Although ive got the experience , i still worry about how i will do on the coming questionnaire, and it might pull me down onto not getting in this intake. Ive gone past through being super anxous about trying to get in the nursing program now, so im like, meh if i get in, thats great, if not, ill try again.. LMAO.
  12. When do yall think we'll get an email if we get shortlisted or not?
  13. its amazing how this intake thread has 300 responses comparing to September 2017's intake thread that only has
  14. by 250 people, did you mean 250 shortlisted january applicants from previous posts? and 128 seats, meaning a combination of January and April intakes? if they were to offer a combination of seats for January and April intakes, I assume they wouldn't tell applicants that students are not allowed to apply to both intakes, they would just simply open only one application for January and April online. hence, they opened applications for April, separately from the January Intake, and that seats are offered depending on the student's chosen intake. thats my interpretation from all this forum's inputs and not from any AO i spoken to BTW.
  15. meaning, if a student who applied for January intake gets an offer, the student may have a choice to be considered for April since being shortlisted for January also means being shortlisted for April? and so, if a student did not get offered a seat for January after being shortlisted on that intake, then the student will be automatically be given no seat offer for the April intake since the person shortlisted did not get in the cut for January? therefore, I assume whatever outcome a January applicant intake receives, will reflect its April intake reapplication. i asked the Admissions Officer(AO) something similar and the AO simply said a student can only apply either January or April intake, and not both. I didnt ask any further questions at the time so I applied for the April intake since I assume not many people would be interested in applying for the later date, thus less competition xD. but anyway with the information given to you by an AO, it kinda made sense to me why they didnt allow students apply to both intakes.
