Hi guys,

I submitted my application for the Fall 2018 applicant cycle at LWTech. I was hoping to connect with others in the same boat.

i just opened my email today and i got in! but i didn't see any of the stats that you had there. 171 is a ton of applicants for LW. good luck to everyone else!

I was wondering for the people who got in, would they be able to share their essay on what they did? I am having a hard time on the essay and just want an example I could follow. The lady sent me the email on what the essay should consist of but no examples. So I was just seeing if I could read someone who did get in essay so I know what they are looking for

I am in the same boat as Laci_love. I have a 4.0 GPA and 87.3 score on the TEAS.. but I still didn't get in. I thought I answered all parts of the essay prompt but still got a low score. :/

Hi guys!

I also didn't get accepted into the Fall cohort.

If you don't mind me asking, what was everyone's total points? I came in around 83 points, and had only received 20/25 on my essay.

LWTECH sent me some pointers to help better my essay but I was just curious where everyone else was at.

Arafelle had a 4.0 AND an 87.3 on the TEAS and still didn't get in??? Good lord, you must have been so close!! My stats:

GPA: 3.956

Essay: 21.25 Points

Prior Education: 4 (Associates Degree)

TEAS: 27.2 Points (90.7%)

Total Points: 92.02

I was nervous since I only had my friend edit my essay (the tutoring center was closed for the summer!! that was my entire plan) it was about a comment that one of the residents made towards me during clinicals because she was frustrated with what i was doing, and the 'what i did to solve the problem' went through how i discussed it with the CNA and went back to the resident to resolve it. i thought it was a pretty simple essay so i'm pretty bummed i got 21.25

Yeah I felt like I answered all the questions, but only got 19 points

Anybody else get good news since last week? I was initially sent a decline but was called as an alternate on Friday! I have a 3.98, 86.7 TEAS and got a 20.5 (I think? She told me verbally and I was a little in shock) on the essay. They are tough with those essays...

is it hard to get in . I am planning to apply for winter quater . How did you guys do on the teas exam?

Have you tried any other schools. I actually ended up getting into Highline college. It’s a lottery but they have a high pre req expiration 10 years and you don’t have to worry about points

I also got a 80 on my TEAS at Highline you only need a 75 minimum
