Lake Washington Institute of Technology - Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi guys,

I submitted my application for the Fall 2018 applicant cycle at LWTech. I was hoping to connect with others in the same boat.

Yes they let you use calculators for dosage calculations. Not on your phone but during the ATI tests they only let you use the one on the screen during the test.

You are awesome! Thank you Feelove1!

No problem!

Did they make you buy any of the books new and/or requiring any online access codes included? I know during my prereq's one of my professors made us get a brand new book so that we could get a fresh access code for ATI practice that she made into assignments. I'd like to try and go with just used books.

Also, how did you like your first quarter? Any positive or negative takeaways? Anything you wish you knew before you started?

Thank you so much.

I thought we needed an access code for pathophysiology and we didn't so you could get used books. I wouldn't recommend renting your books because they are good for reference. There's a couple books that come in a bundle that you can buy brand new in the bookstore and I got that because it was cheaper than buying them all separate.

I loved my first quarter. They really work with you to make sure you succeed. Negative takeaways were the confusion on clinical times . It didn't correspond with the schedule . But other than that I really enjoyed it and am excited to continue. Also I made the dean's list with 17 credits.

Our first quarter we had to take communications in nursing but for the next cohort you guys won't take that until your second quarter.

Thank you again. Your answers helped me a lot. I really appreciate it.

Also - Congratulations on the Dean's List! That's fantastic.

No problem!! & thank you

Hi all! I also applied for Fall at LWTech. Anyone heard anything yet? I am SO anxious. I also got the email that notifications would go out on the 6th but was hoping we would hear sooner. I am confused that there is no wait list... what if people decline their offers and they have spots open?!

Good luck to everyone!

Someone came to orientation and everything then got accepted to Seattle U and they offered someone a spot a week into the program . So it is possible .

Hi guys!

Has anyone heard anything? Very anxious. Good luck to you all!

We'll hear back in 4 more days! Crossing my fingers. :)

I just got the letter that I didn't get in. I'm sad, but I know I'll get in somewhere eventually. Here's the stats I was given:
