Hi guys,

I submitted my application for the Fall 2018 applicant cycle at LWTech. I was hoping to connect with others in the same boat.

Hey lacilove I really wanted to get in highline its very close from but I didn't get the 75 on the teas and it was close to the deadline no time to retake the teas so I was looking at lake Washington that didn't really have a required score. I will take the test again and check other school for winter quarter. Thanks for replying

Hi guys.

I did receive an acceptance from LWTECH but turned it down for another school. I got full points on essay, 84 on TEAS, and had about a 3.3 gpa. Hope that helps!

Don't give up! I was denied in the Fall 2018. When I first applied, I had gotten 20/25 on the essay and had about a 3.3 GPA. I met with a nursing adviser at LWTECH to get pointers on my essay. I reapplied for Winter 2019 and was accepted. I ended up getting full points on my essay.

If you want to go to this school, I really recommend meeting with their nursing advisers. I think the man I met with was named Michael - if I recall correctly.

@dee_koontzI actually ended up getting into Highline. It’s a blessing because I live in Des Moines anyways. I’m literally right around the corner from the school. And also all the clinical are close to the school as well. I think the furthest south we go is Tacoma and the furthest north we go is west Seattle. I was really blessed to get in last winter. I was an alternate. I’m going into my third quarter September 23rd so after that I’ll be half way through yay!!!. But I’m glad you got into lake Washington

I want to say thank you for being so active in those threads and providing helpful information for fellow applicants. I got in both shoreline and lake Washington Tech for Winter 2021 program. I am doing a comparison analysis via online research and by talking to people. There is no one better to chat with than the current students of the nursing program. I was wondering if I can connect with you and chat about how is the program going for you so far, especially about the quarterly clinical placement and preceptorship in the last quarter.
