Hi guys,
I submitted my application for the Fall 2018 applicant cycle at LWTech. I was hoping to connect with others in the same boat.

Hi,
I applied as well. I was told to expect to hear back 2 weeks from the final submission date (July 3rd).
Do you know of any people who have given their impressions or experiences of the program itself? I haven't heard anything recent about it.
Hi Arafelle,
Did the office say two weeks? That's much sooner than I expected.
I am feeling a bit nervous, as I calculated my points and I estimate being around 84 points.
I work with a nurse who completed the program. She did say there were some inconsistencies by teachers (grading, material, etc) but overall it was a good choice of nursing program.
Good luck to you!!

Yeah, the admissions office told me 2 weeks when I handed in my packet. I hope that turns out to be true (it's nice to not wait too long).
I have no idea how I did on the essay, so I have no clue on my score.
Thanks for sharing what your coworker had to say about the program! I think occasional inconsistency is normal in every program, so that doesn't worry me too much.
I hope for the best for both of us. Good luck!
I just got a notification from my LWTech email; they will notify everyone on August 6th of their admission status.

Hey guys! I also applied! I have a friend in the program that likes it so far. I also have no idea how I did on the essay, but when I estimated my points I think it was around 87?
This wait is killing me. I was really hoping we would hear back earlier than August 6th. Wishing you both good luck!!
Me too. We don't have much time to buy our textbooks from the acceptance date to the start date. It's very frustrating. Do you know what text books would be needed for this particular program by chance?
Hey again Dee,
Has your coworker told you if we are allowed to use calculators in the program for dosage math problems? I searched around online and it seems like it depends on which program you go to. Some do and some don't.
I don't actually know exact textbooks, although there is a public Facebook group for LWTECH nursing students where students sell/purchase used textbooks (I don't think they change from quarter to quarter).
As for the calculators/dosage problems, I have not heard anything about this. I would be surprised if basic 4 function calculators weren't allowed.
Still haven't heard from the school regarding acceptance/declining my application.
I hope this helps!!
Thanks for that info! I'll check out the FB group.
