LAHC Fall 2017

Hi, all! Just wanted to make a thread to see who has applied to LAHC's Nursing program for the fall semester of 2017! Maybe we can all get together and study for the upcoming TEAS in April if there are some still needing to take it :) I know it's a bit early, but it's better to be prepared!

Hope to hear from admissions soon - I called and asked when emails for the TEAS would be sent out, and the lady said it would be maybe at the end of March!

I too applied to LAHC RN program and I also called to asked about teas dates. She said everyone should be getting an email by late March early April just as Fmiller11 stated. Best of luck to us all!

I also applied! I took the TEAS VI so that I can apply early to other schools and it was not too bad :)! I called and heard that about 150 people applied.

@dani8282 do you know if 150 applied or if 150 qualified? Last year it was about 200 that applied so we have a better chance this time :) haha

Hi all!

I also applied for Fall 2017 and it is my second time applying! Just wanted to say good luck to all of us. Hope we all get the TEAS invitation soon so we can prepare as much as we can for those who still need to take it.

I wonder how the lottery process actually works. I know they look at our GPA and TEAS VI score to make sure that we're eligible, but do you think they even look at our grades some how before they do a lottery?

I think they put all qualified applicants and give each applicant a random number and then use a Computer to randomly choose who gets accepted. Like using Excel!

@fmiller11 yeah, I think Cerritos does that, too. That's another place I applied to. It is weird because I hear different things from people like we haven't had a lottery in a while, or that they do look at your grades, or just other things and I don't know which is right haha! At least the wait is almost over :)! I pray that we all can get in!

I applied to Goldenwest, Cerritos (they have a reading test but it can be waived), and Santa Ana as well so in case you guys need to reapply, try those schools :)! I would say Long Beach City too, but you have to take a reading test.

I applied to Golden West, LAHC and Long Beach city! At this point I don't even care where I get in as long as I get in somewhere! Has anyone heard anything yet??
