Hi. I am very interested in the accelerated ASN program at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. Can anyone give me any information on this program? I've seen the information that is available online. However, I am looking for information from experienced insiders such as: getting accepted, true level of difficulty, etc. This will be a major career change for me, and I do not want to make a bad decision. I have a 3.6 gpa from SLU w/ AA in OSH and BA in Gen Studies. I consider myself a capable, hard working student but all I have heard is HORROR stories.
Thanks!
I agree with lynn23. It's a lot easier saying they haven't made a decision, then saying they haven't had time to mail out letters yet. Or maybe they have to wait until BR has mailed there letters out first. Who knows. I think you'll know in a few weeks.
I just want to get it over with. Whether it's good or bad, I just want to know already!
I was put on the waiting list last November at Baton Rouge General Nursing School and it was nerve racking. I was calling everyday to see what number they were at on the waiting list. I really hope that doesn't happen this time, even though I rather a waiting list than not getting in at all lol. I really hope today is the day. Good luck everyone!
Yeah I guess you all are right, but I just want to know either way, even if it is a waiting list.
I go through a ton of different emotions all day with this waiting crud! I'm to the point now that I'm really starting to become angry, like I don't even care anymore, its like there's no consideration on what people have to do to change their lives, sorry to be a Debbie Downer, I am just annoyed!
You are right about how this effects your life. I work full time and taking my remaining prereqs was not easy. I coudnt quit working, bc I have to save money for moving and nursing school, not to mention my current rent and bills. Last semester I took 23 credit hours and worked full time (15 of those hours were to graduate, the rest were prereqs). Now I am taking my last 2 prereqs this semester and I hate the thought that I might be wasting my time, money, and hours of lost sleep for nothing. I hope I know something soon. My whole life is planned around this.

I bet Tulane/East Jeff have made decisions. I called BR a week ago and was told decision haven't been made. I think that is just what they say until they can actually tell you the letters have been sent out. If not, how can they consider those people who asked to be considered for all locations? Today could be the day!! I have no faith that i'll get in, but I just would like to know.
