I didn’t see a discussion yet for LACC spring 2020 application period so I decided to start one! Has anyone heard about making it into the lottery yet?!

would you consider LACC or LAPC ?I need to decide which one I should chose ?Will it worth driving and traffic ?
Hi there!
I got admitted in Fall 2019!
Some of my classmates are living FAR, such as in Long Beach or Granada Hills, and they are doing GREAT in classes! I don't know how to answer the question about quality because I did not know how I can compare this school to other schools. Every school has its strengths and weakness, but truly, I believe nursing school is something that you have to pace yourself to go where you want to be.
One thing that I love about the program and this LACC School because LACC Foundation is sponsored us a FREE Uniform, Jacket and Books. It surely saves a lot of money for all of us!
But, if you will considering the traffic for how flexible you will able to attend classes it is OK too! But, remember also, when you will be in the Clinical Rotation at Hospital, each hospital will not be nearly by the school.
GOOD LUCK! ?
For community college only prerequisites are these listed below(some colleges may be different).. For PE and other GE and associates degree requirements, they STRONGLY recommend that you do take them before starting 1st semester. (But you dont have to have PE or AA degree courses finished to apply. Yes your PE can be in progress. There is a section on the application that asks if any classes are still in progress.
I'm in my 3rd week of a communtiy college program and I will tell you that you will have 0 time to take PE or other classes with the nursing classes. Imagine taking Micro+Physiol+Chem+Bio all together in 1 semester. You will not have time for other courses.
Usual FINISHED courses to apply. These need to be finished and a letter grade shown on your official transcript.
Anatomy 1 (4 semester units)
Physiology 1 (4 semester units)
Microbiology 1 or 20 (4 semester units)
Chemistry 60 or 68 (5 semester units) or one-year High School Chemistry (two semesters each with C or higher)
Psychology 1 (3 semester units)
Psychology 41 (3 semester units)
English 101 (3 semester units)
Math 125 (or higher) (5 semester units)

Thank you for your response! I was planning on taking it over the summer before starting if anything. Not planning on taking it while I am in the program, but plan on taking it right before. It’s only a 1 credit yoga course. It’s too late for me to apply for it for spring semester and all the other BSN programs I applied to never required a PE course so it’s the only class I didn’t take yet. Planning on applying to LACC as a backup plan if I don’t get into CSU directly. Thanks again for answering my question! glad to know I can apply after I go to the info session.
