LACC ADN Fall 2021

Hi everyone, my name is Monica and I will be applying to LACC's ADN program for the fall. I saw there wasn't a thread for it yet so I decided to make one. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations!! Yes, it is very confusing and just leaves those who are alternates with more questions as to how it all works!

I’m 2A10. I asked Ryan and I said “does this mean I’m #10 of the second group of alternates?”  And he just said “that’s correct”. SO. They will go through all of the people on 1A before moving on to 2A. 25 might be the highest # in the A group.

I also asked Ryan if they would be updating the alternate list often as responses come in or if they would be updating it at one time after the 25th and he didn’t say which of the two it was just that there had been no changes as of yet. I wish there was more information about this list and how it is structured. It's hard to get thorough information via email.

Did you guys receive an update about the orientation? I received an email giving all the info’s about the orientation

I got an email that I didn’t meet the cut score of 80%. Can someone let me know what the criteria is? I got a B in physio second time but withdrew first time, B micro, C anatomy. 
those probably messed me up ??

I got the same thing.

I had an A in micro 1, a B in physiology and a B in Anatomy.

You also didn’t meet the cut score? I think we had to get As on 3 science classes to get cut off of 80

I did have a C in english and a C in sociology

@Kesha J we have to wait for them to invite us, right? I was planning to get a reservation for the orientation but the email stated that “If you are contacted to attend”.. then we’ll proceed to the next step which is those 2 orientations.

I got a C in English too but sociology a B. Guess it wasn’t enough. Don’t they usually care more about the science classes??

I don't completely understand it myself but they use:

• College GPA
• College English GPA
• Core Biology GPA (Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology) • Core Biology Repetitions
