Hello Kesha!.= We both got into LACC's fall program! So I was wondering how you are going about the physical. Does LACC pay for the physical or do we have to go to our own provider? I was just wondering how other students are doing it

Hey Ryan just called me and took me off the waitlist! I was 2A10? Or something super far down the list. I’m so excited to start ?

I’m 2A10. I asked Ryan and I said “does this mean I’m #10 of the second group of alternates?” And he just said “that’s correct”. SO. They will go through all of the people on 1A before moving on to 2A. 25 might be the highest # in the A group.

That’s so odd. I emailed him minutes after receiving the alternate email confirming I wanted to be an alternate and he just said “OK thanks for letting me know”. I’m going to follow up with asking about the number ?

No they still need to get back to us with more information. I hope it’s soon☹️

For alternatives- as recently as 2017 it was normal for LACC to accept up to numbers in the 30s for alternates (we will figure out our waitlist number soon). I don’t know how impacted this is because it’s 2021 and covid but there still is some hope.

Hello! I also got picked as an alternate? I wish they told us what our waitlist position is (like if we’re pick 1 or 22 ya know). But I hope I get it. I’ve been rejected from SO many programs this year.

They’re not sending out acceptances...and they won’t explain why....this sucks.

No I haven’t seen anything. This link is just the standard info page on the website. I can’t see anything (could be because I’m on my phone). What info are you talking about?

Oof. Uhhh. SMC, PCC, APU, GCC, LACC, ELAC, Mt Saint Mary’s, UCLA, CSUN. I’m probably missing some. But I still haven’t heard back from ALL of them. I’m honestly looking into LVN programs just so I can get a start in the field and make money. Also LVNs have an easier time getting into RN programs. (I’ve also done all my prerecs, 300+ hours of volunteer work and years of working in the medical field, also letters of rec from RNs and NPs). It’s not a good year for applications ?

I honestly don’t think comparing to last year’s stats is applicable. Every program is SO impacted right now because of covid and everyone applying. I feel like they’re only taking the best of the best. I’ve been rejected from so many programs this year.
