LAC+USC interview new grad RN

Published

Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you

Hey Ladies! How long after your interview did they notify a job offer?

Hi everyone! I've been following this thread since I had an interview at LAC+USC few weeks ago. Unfortunately I wasn't selected for that position at this time, but I really work there. So I won't give up!

Congrats for the people who got job offers! I recognized few people from other thread realated to NICU:) I am very happy for you and Good luck!!

I have a question for the people who had more than one interview there. Did the nursing recruiter keep calling you for the interview? or did you call them every week?

Here's my small update guys: I passed my background check BUT I'm waiting for the infamous budget to clear so that I could schedule my physical. Yay moving along but slowly like a snail. Lol...

@Daisyrock- I had three interviews. I was called for the first one and second one. For my third interview, I called and asked if there was anything else I could interview for. Be proactive and good luck! :)

Nurse jaydee that's good news you're almost there!

Question, will they call back even if you're not chosen for the position?

They say they do, but they don't. You have to follow up.

Hi guys, just a small update. I had an interview for a relief nurse position FIVE weeks ago and still have not heard back. By the third week I was calling hr and they promised they would call if I got the position or send a letter if I did not. I am assuming at this point either the position never materialized or the letter is in the mail. Since then I have been offered a position at another hospital which I have decided to accept. I was willing to wait on county for budget and background and all that but to not even hear about the position was frustrating. This doesn't take anything away from the county hospitals because I still think they are all awesome places to work and I am envious of others for starting their careers there. I was offered a position where I had my preceptorship and am very grateful. I will be a paid RN in December! Best of luck to everyone still searching!

@Daisyrock, Yes, I got called back but yes, you def have to be proactive. I made it a point each time they called to say thank you and show interest in any open positions. By the last interview, I was so relaxed I think that's why I got it finally hahahaha :specs:
