lab top color for vanco trough?

What color labtops can i use for a vanco trough? can i use a tiger top? I dont have a gold. Thanks:)

We use red or tiger tops...I would just call the lab and ask.

well we use green but I would call your lab. My hospital has a lab lookup thing on the computer we can type in the lab we need and it will tell you how much blood is needed and what tube to use (also lists the cost! ). Maybe your hospital has something like that?

Red top and light green are acceptable. I have had labs tell me tiger tops are ok and accept them and have had other labs reject them. Call and ask or just stay away from tiger top.

Why don't you call your lab and ask them what is an acceptable alternative.
