I just got accepted to La Salle's ACHIEVE Nursing program today!
I'm so excited! (So excited I signed up for these forums, as a matter of fact!) I'm sure a number of you have attended La Salle's ACHIEVE program and could offer some insight. What's the program like? Did you like it? How was the balance between work life/student life? Do you think the quality of education was worth it for you?
I've also applied to Drexel's ACE program and I'm awaiting a response as well!
Hey Guys I was wondering if a current student can shed some light on several questions I have: Firstly do we have to buy our scrub buttoms from the vendors that they bring to campus? Also do we really need a lab coat and how often will it be worn? Can we buy the lasalle label and simply sew it unto a lab coat if we already have one? Just wondering as I have friends at other nursing schools who ordered everything that was recommended but did wear anything but their scrubs and name pin? Thanks for your help.....Also is Perry and Potter used for Fundamentals?

Once you're in the nursing program at La Salle you need a 75 to pass--74 and below is failing.
And yes, I think their minimum GPA is a 3.0 for admission. Apply, I say. If you're concerned about the GPA piece (and they look at more that just your GPA anyway), give the admissions coordinator a call and talk to her about it. Good luck!

Try buying your books online at half.com through eBay. That's where I got my books & that particular book is selling for about $40 which is a lot cheaper than the bookstore.
Please see my post that went up today regarding La Salle University and my post under General Nursing Discussion posted on 11/8/11. It isn't like I wasn't accepted. It is just that La Salle University hasn't been practicing in good faith with me by not providing me with a decision concerning my acceptance. La Salle University has failed, at least in my opinion, to practice in good faith.
