LA County Spring 2016

Anyone out there apply for Spring 2016? I just received the paperwork for the TEAS and questionnaire. I know we are months away from finding out if we get in, but maybe we can share information here!

Hi! I applied for Spring 2016 and received an invitation to take the TEAS exam along with the questionare about a week ago. Is this your first time applying to La County?

Those questions are so basic, but I'm having trouble narrowing it down to fit into the spaces provided ahhhh. This is my first time applying to LA County. I applied for a few BSN programs last semester, but did not get in so I am applying to a few ADN programs now. Is this your first time applying to LA County?

I scheduled my TEAS for October 10 (their latest testing date so I can have more time to study:laugh:) anyone as nervous as I am??? What test preparations are you guys using? So far I only purchased the atistudy guide and taking sample online tests....

Luckily, I already took the TEAS, but I was just as nervous as you were before I took it. To prepare I purchased the ATI practice tests to see the format and I reviewed some TEAS study guides for content. Good luck to you all!

Hi everyone! I am reapplying since I didn't get in for fall 2015. :( (I was shy just a few points) And since then I retook some old classes and reapplied to spring '16 with a better chance of getting in...I hope :D

My waiting time is a bit longer since I already took the TEAS exam, and I'm just waiting for the results/acceptance letters to be sent out! I just hope letters don't take too long to be sent out, because last term fall letters were supposed to sent out in May (I believe) and I kept calling up to July! ... and they were saying that letters were still being sent out! EESH Hope its not the same case for us!

Anyway I look forward to seeing this thread grow and meet many potential future classmates!! (FINGERS CROSSED)

Good Luck to everyone!

Thanks for sharing your story izzy. I applied to a few BSN programs for Fall 2015 and didn't get in. May I ask how many points you had when you applied for the Fall 2015 cohort? I have 82 and I'm nervous. Not sure if it'll be good enough to get in.

Just took my TEAS and did not score enough to get the extra five points; however, i did meet the minimum. Now I am left with 78-79 points :( anyone know what the previous semesters points were to get in?

I'm not sure what the previous semester's cutoff was, but their website says it has been 78-82 the past 2 years. Who knows when that number was updated though.
