What are some extremes you’ve come across in your career? Biggest/smallest full term baby, youngest/oldest mother, the most kids in one family, largest set of multiples, the longest overdue... or whatever else you can think of.

Biggest baby- 14lbs and change
Smallest baby- 350gms
Both happened to be in the unit at the same time. I footprinted them and copied the footprints side by side on cardstock. It was almost mind-blowing.

I have worked in small community hospitals and large teaching hospitals, in L&D, Postpartum and NICU as a nurse for 18 years and 19 years as a midwife, so these are collective statistics from all of those:
Longest overdue - 42 and 3 days (though my own youngest was 42.6)
Youngest mother - 11
Oldest mother - 62 or 63 (IVF, don't even get me started on this one!)
Grand multipara - G16
Biggest baby - 14+ lbs.
Smallest baby - about 12 oz. (I admitted this baby to the NICU but he or she survived less than 24 hrs.) Smallest baby at fullterm - less than 4 lbs.
Biggest EBL - not exactly sure, but know I've seen over 2L
