Ok, so I've kind of looked around the site, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I applied to the KSU accelerated nursing program for the Spring of 2012. Our applications, TEAS score, etc. already had to be turned in by May 31st. I was curious to know about how long they take to get back to you to let you know if you made it to the second round. I've got a 3.2 GPA right now, and I graduate from UGA in December with a BS in Psychology. I made a 91.3% overall score on the TEAS V. Does anyone have any idea about my chances of getting in? I took the TEAS without even taking A&P at all, but I'm taking it right now. Any advice if I do make it to the second round? I am CPR/First Aid certified and I have my CNA. Also, if anybody needs any advice about the TEAS, I'd be happy to answer some questions and tell you what I thought of it.
Thanks!
I have my CPR certification already, I have it from North GA Technical college. I don't know if I should renew it now, it will expire on 09/17/12 should I wait til then to renew it?
Makes no sense to renew it now you have almost a year of certification left. Just make sure it is from the American Heart Association and make sure it doesn't expire. I've heard that they've pulled students out of clinicals because they forgot to renew their certification and/or submit their physical annually.
thats lame, i really dont want to jeopardize my friends or myself so i am now looking for patho study guide books...let me know if anyone finds websites etc. although i was talking to one of my friends and she said she barely opened her book...bc all she needed were the notes from class. she also suggested to study these "fundamentals and health assessments. obviously required during but it seems we all want to be over prepared the first day lol! i already love you guys..accelerated n traditional togetherness.
i am also already BLS/CPR certified and need to renew mine at any hospital for $20 asap! i still have my study materials if anyone needs it for check offs.
@Fanger33 yea $5 wow!! we will all be spending a lot of money here pretty soon so the $37 or so we spent already will seem like nothing lol
for those of you looking for a cost effective place to stay near campus...i have some friends that pay a good price at The Bridges of Kennesaw and i believe the other one is called Camden Shiloh's

Lol I just figured that. Yes it's from American Heart Association. Since we have a break in the summer, remembering to renew it won't be a problem. Thanks for your response though.
@jax- the 24th is perfect since I'm only in class tues/thurs. I'll call that number tomorrow to reserve a spot.
@proms and forhisglory- My mom gave me a littman master classic II as a getting-into-nursing-school present. She got it engraved also. She had found an old picture of me as a little kid using an aqua blue toy stethoscope on a baby doll, so she got it in that same color and put the picture in the card with the gift. Ohhh mom... it was sweet. It's a great stethoscope- the sound quality is amazing... especially after using the cheap ones in anatomy lab. You'll love it when yours arrives!
@ForHisGlory24- I am going to be taking the CPR class in the next couple of weeks if you wouldn't mind sharing your study materials, I'd be very grateful! (I don't think that would be an issue, do you??) Thanks!
