Do anyone know a cheap and realiable nursing insurance (to CYA) out there? I am a new RN and am not sure of what nursing insurance is the best to cover my butt.

I don't know what you call cheap but give NSO.com a try. I have been with them since nursing school when it was suggested we get insurance. It is worth the peace of mind.

NSO is an excellent suggestion.

I also have coverage with NSO. you can't guarantee the hospital will back you up. Also in CA, with a malpractice claim over $3,000.00 they will asign blame. That means that the hospital and any staff involved can be responsible a % of the settlement.
If you commit harm or are sued for malpractice, and your license is not challenged, you will get no help. Your only help is license protection.

what's up girl, check out the NSO (nursing service organization) website.....probably NSO.com or org or something. read up, get your info, they do offer nursing insurance. they'll ask you a bunch of ?'s: who you are, what kind of nurse you are where you work, how much liability you want. every year you have an option to renew online and they send you friendly email reminders, they also come w/ a gang load of other benifits. Good luck!! I live in Ohio, but i'm sure it's nationwide, make sure they cover your state.
