Kingwood Quest Basic Track 2014

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi, I was wondering if anyone else is considering applying for the 2014 Quest program? The application period begins in November. If anyone has gone through this program in previous years, can you please give me some information about it? Is it possible to work full time? The lonestar website says that the courses are over 4 consecutive semesters, but that the students can work at their own pace. So the Quest program can be completed in less than a year and a half? Is that even possible to work ahead at my own pace with so much info packed into 4 semesters? Any information about this program would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help!

Are there clinicals and labs the 4th semester, too?

There are clinicals 4th semester but we don't have any labs. All skills were taught and learned during semesters 1-3.

Jmon, I'm positive you will get accepted with that score.

I just finished my last prerequisite-- pharmacology. Did you attend an information session at the college? When I went, they couldn't tell me much about the program.... I'm hoping the labs are only once a month or so

I am confused and worried now. Where did you see pharm as a prerequisite? I applied to program with the prereqs of AP1, Psych, and comp1. Did you apply for the transition or basic track?

I don't believe Pharm is a prereq. From everything I've seen online, pharm is taken during the program. You can call an advisor to see, but I wouldn't sweat it.

Thank you iamleeann for the information. Your response answers alot of questions. For those that applied this year I have a friend that tried to turn in his application and they told him he would have gotten accepted. He took the HESI right before the application deadline instead of observing the HESI completion no later than a week before the application closed. Long story short he was going to apply with an 11.23 if I remember correctly. So if this information is correct than that should give some guide as to your chances of being in.

On the Pharmacology class you can take it before you are admitted into the program but is not required, just recommended. I am taking it online now and its not to bad.

Jmon714 that is an awesome score!!!! The highest I have heard of.

Pharm is not a prereq, but I did hear it helps your chances of getting accepted. I wanted to get every class finished that I could to try to alleviate some stress during the program. Thank you Mal3sm! Do you know when they typically send out the acceptance letters?

Has anyone heard when they will start sending acceptance letters for the Quest program? I just know sometime in Feb.

When I turned my app in ( the last week of Jan) I was told anywhere from 4-6 weeks so I'm guessing we should know by around the end of Feb at the earliest.

Thats what I figured as well. I'm just hoping maybe it will be earlier. I keep anxiously checking my email every day. :)

Im assuming if your not accepted you wont hear anything???

I'm fairly certain if you're denied they'll notify you either in writing or by email.

I got my acceptance letter today!

I also got my acceptance today! YAY! See y'all March 3rd.
