New job/starting online RN to BSN
Hello! I am set to graduate an ADN program in August, and I recently accepted a job in labor and delivery at my current workplace. I am going to start in October, after I pass the NCLEX. I was planning to jump right into the online RN to BSN program at UT Arlington in September, but I am wondering if I am trying to accomplish too many things at once. I don't want to lost momentum in school, but I don't want to spread myself too thin between work and school either. Can someone who has been through this program offer me some advice? Is it manageable while starting a new job and completing a GN internship? Should I put it off for a couple of months? I have worked full time throughout my ADN program with a three year old, so I am a great multi-tasker. :) Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pharm is not a prereq, but I did hear it helps your chances of getting accepted. I wanted to get every class finished that I could to try to alleviate some stress during the program. Thank you Mal3sm! Do you know when they typically send out the acceptance letters?

Thank you for taking the time to respond Leann! Your comments make me feel so much better about pursuing this program. I also work 40+ hours and have a toddler at home. It will be tough, but you have given me hope! :) I can't wait to here if I made it in next month. I applied with an 11.9.

I just finished my last prerequisite-- pharmacology. Did you attend an information session at the college? When I went, they couldn't tell me much about the program.... I'm hoping the labs are only once a month or so

Kingwood Quest Basic Track 2014
Hi, I was wondering if anyone else is considering applying for the 2014 Quest program? The application period begins in November. If anyone has gone through this program in previous years, can you please give me some information about it? Is it possible to work full time? The lonestar website says that the courses are over 4 consecutive semesters, but that the students can work at their own pace. So the Quest program can be completed in less than a year and a half? Is that even possible to work ahead at my own pace with so much info packed into 4 semesters? Any information about this program would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help!
