I realize that no one posted for kbcc. Did anyone take the NLN this year or last May and what it your result.
My NLN score is 120 with a GPA 0f 3.0 so I worry if I would get into the program.
thank you so much ! one more question
do they look at the nln and gpa equally ? does high score in one help the lower score of the other idk??
plus i have 2 C's in both a&p I and II
but all together my grades are better, do the C's in major classes are an automatic rejection ? or do they look strictly on the gpa # only???
plus who is the best scie 215 teacher by the best i mean the easiest to get an A in !!! and one last question when they over calculate your gpa do they take off all the pluses and minuses, like they did in hunter a B+ would count only as a B and a B- would count as a B ! i hope they don't do that becouse it is simply unfair !!!
thanx a lot and good luck to you i just wish i got in !!!
i have been trough hell this summer and past year i really wish i didn't go to hunter that college is super commpetitivie the lowest gpa to get in is #.5 and 135 on the nln my friend with those scores got waiting listed !!!
Wow!! Where to begin... Yes, they do look at all +/- grades. I also believe they put greater weight on your NLN scores as opposed to GPA. I believe you said you had a 3.15, which in my opinion will be sufficient to give you a good shot. I know it's very stressful waiting, but you are definitely a good candidate for admission.
I almost forgot about your sci 25 question. I had one instructor. He was FANTASTIC!!! He teaches only on Sat morning, so if that works for you, I would definitely try to get him. Don't forget to register for his lab section as well. Some people forget they have to register for both separately and end up with a different lab prof.
Are you absolutely sure the percentiles aren't listed?
My composite was 147 and my percentiles were: verbal - 99; Math - 87; Science 97. My GPA was about a 3.3 (I have a BA).
According the the NLN, most composite scores are between 50 - 150, so you scored towards the high end.
I was accepted into the program. I really don't think you have anything to worry about. From what I understand, KCC looks at the composite first, then the GPA, if necessary.

so you think people with 3.0 get in in the lower percentage of all the accepted
