I'm considering taking a travel position at King/Drew in LA. Has anyone done a travel assignment in the ER here before. Any comments appreciated.
Thanks, ERGuy

Considered by many to be the worst hospital in the country. Nothing would make me consider working there.

Update MLK Hospital: Deadly errors and politics betray Los Angeles hospital's promise

I remember watching one of those "Trauma in the ER" episodes that took place at King/Drew. What I got from it was that it was in one of the worst locations in Los Angeles and that there is a high census of young patients coming in due to the extreme violence of that area. I would figure that they would have a hard time staffing the hospital which can definitely contribute to the errors.

I would stay as far as possible away from that facility. Not a place that anyone would want to electively work.

It's called Killer King for a reason. Run, don't walk, from any company that would try to get you to take an assignment there. I would never even consider taking an assignment there with the way things are today.

From reading about this facility on another BB, I would never go there for one shift much less take an assignment there. It is in constant trouble with state regulation board from what I have read. I think I would keep looking.
