Hey,
i think alot of us have kids. I have two little girls, ages 2 and 4, and yes, sometimes it seems impossible to get anything done. It is all about organization and time management. Do you have any support system, a grandma who can watch the kids sometimes, or a babysitter? Studying AND watching kids at the same time can be very hard, so you need to find quiet time somewhere somehow. It's not easy, but it can be done. Don't give up your dream only because there's some bumps in the road. You'll get there. And the longer you're in school, the better you'll get with the time management issue.
Good Luck!

I am in A and P II right now and I understand how you feel. I was ready to walk out of class last night when the teacher piled on extra work and then said the test was in 2 days. But I've learned to better manage my time and it's gotten easier to see that it is in fact possible. I too have 2 kids and a husband so I understand what you're going through.
I quote the wise Yoda "Do or do not, there is no try". You've set you mind to it, there's no turning back now.
Good luck finding what works for you.
oh thx guys..its good to know im not alone :)...im pretty much trying to manage my time...but i find myself forking off a bit..for instance my 4 year old os sound asleep BUT my 13 month old is in my arms right now playing with my hair..lol...i guess in my case its trying to mange my time one day at a time.

Hey ag11!!!!
I remember when I took A&P 1 back in the fall of 2006, and I felt like I was going to FLUNK out the first day...our teacher was one of those who tried to scare us out of the class by saying only a few pass each semester (which in our class ended up being true...we started with 30 and ended with only 8!), however, A&P1 is wayyyyy worse than A&P2...I'm not trying to scare you...but rather let you know that it gets EASIER. Just study study study those bones and muscles hard and you will be just fine. It is best to get it down in A&P, as I've been told in Nursing school it all comes back again! I wish you the best of luck, and I do promise that the second half of A&P is even easier. YOU CAN DO IT, DONT GIVE UP YOUR DREAMS! :) best wishes! keep me updated

Try to see if you can tape your notes. Then you can listen to them while you are doing other things around the house. I took A & P I and II last summer both in 6 week sessions. I think my recorder saved me. (My tapes are basically my notes of important facts that I need to know) I am taking Micro now online. I just have to go to school for tests. I found some things that I downloaded onto my computer like Vango Notes help reinforce some of the facts that I need to know on the subject. After I downloaded it (actually my husband downloaded it for me) I then (again he did it) uploaded the Vangonotes from my laptop onto my ipod. I then can pick the chapter that I want to listen to and study while I am doing things with the kids. Check out the link below if you are interested. By the way, I have 4 kids all under the age of 10. You are not alone. There are a lot of us out here doing it with kids.
